Use your credit card for the purchase<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you\u2019re not using a rewards credit card for everyday purchases, you\u2019re missing out on free money! With many cards, you\u2019ll earn an unlimited 1% cashback on all your purchases. Plus, if you spend a certain amount in your first few months of opening the card (like on groceries!), you\u2019ll pocket an extra cash bonus. Some cards also offer extra cash-back on select rotating categories, and some months the category is groceries. Of course make sure that the card is paid off at the end of each billing period so you don\u2019t rack up interest.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Always look at the unit price<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Take your time at the store and really crunch the numbers. A cheaper item, say a box of cereal or bottle of laundry detergent, that has much less in it than a more expensive, but bigger item next to it isn\u2019t actually the best deal.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

By incorporating one, two, or all of these tips into your next grocery store run, you\u2019ll be pleasantly surprised at how much you can save.
